Toy Collection at the Fair

2008 Toy Fair Toy Collection

On the last day of the Fair, the annual Toy Fair Toy Collection Drive was held and the recipients for the 2008 Toy Collection were Variety, the Children’s Charity.  The purpose of Variety is to provide life opportunities through the provision of equipment, experiences and community support for Special Needs Children.

Variety also acts as an umbrella organisation, providing support to many other children’s groups and charities as well as raising funds for its own initiatives.

Many thanks go to the 2008 Toy Fair Exhibitors who donated toys for the annual Toy Collection on the last day of the Fair.  Because of the exhibitors generosity, over $5000 worth of goods will go into the hands of many needy children at the Variety Children’s Christmas Party that will be held in December.

The Variety Children’s Christmas Party at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre is attended by 5,000 children along with over 3,000 carers, who make sure that needy children can have great fun celebrating Christmas and receiving a toy.

The ATA is proud of their new association with Variety and are looking forward to putting smiles on Australian Children’s faces.
